Melanie Grötzinger will be our new Managing Director from 1 July 2019

The board of the Evangelical Youth Organization in Württemberg has chosen Melanie Grötzinger as our new managing director. She succeeds Esther Bobinger, who will retire on 30 September 2019 after more than 20 years in the management.

In her new role, from 1 July 2019, Grötzinger will ensure that the “Bernhäuser Forst” remains a meeting place, an education and an inspiration for our guests from the church, deaconry and business. “I like being a hostess and have a passion for the hospitality industry. That’s why I’m very happy about the appointment. With enthusiasm I would like to make sure that the conference center with its 100 beds and function rooms for up to 350 people continuously evolves and retains its special relationship with the EJW, “said the 45-year-old restaurant expert and studied tourism economist after her election.

Melanie Grötzinger was born in Ratingen. After completing her studies at the Hotel Bareiss in Mitteltal and studying tourism at the BA Ravensburg and the Romantikhotel Waldhorn there, she was last responsible for five hotels of the Novum Hospitality in Stuttgart. In her free time, she works as an enthusiastic gardener on the board of a Gesamtgartenverein.

Since 1 January 2019, Bernhäuser Forst has been part of the Evangelical Conference Venues in Württemberg, together with the other state-run conference venues in Bad Boll, Stuttgart-Birkach and Bad Urach, a joint operation of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg. As a member of the board of this organization, Grötzinger will help the four conference centers to expand their respective profile as church houses and to work economically successfully.
